After months of renovations, with a concerted effort to maintain the charm of this historic structure (circa 1825), The Wine Bar opened at 417 Broadway on October 6, 1999. The Wine Bar is the outcome of a desire and commitment by the owners, the Evans’, to create an environment in which people could share a casual evening with friends enhanced by fine wines in a comfortable ambience.
The Wine Bar has grown from a 40-seat bar with light fare to a two-level establishment, with light plates, entrees, a selection of gourmet cheeses and house-made desserts. During the summer months, the patio is open – a great spot to people watch while sipping wine.
Melissa Evans is joined by a dedicated staff who have made substantial contributions to the success of The Wine Bar.
The Wine Bar’s Executive Chef, Jacquie Clark, enjoys presenting a creative flare to her dishes.
The Wine Bar tradition is continued by creating a menu to complement the wine list. Fresh ingredients and special attention to presentation is what makes the food at The Wine Bar so unique.
